    Olaitan “Olie” Oluwatosin Abidoye

    December 16, 1979 - March 2, 2022

Olaitan “Olie” Oluwatosin Abidoye, 42, passed away on March 2, 2022 in London, England. Olaitan was one-of-a-kind and his infectious laugh and sense of humor will be missed. Although he left us unexpectedly, and too soon, he lived every day on his own terms and to the fullest and he leaves all who knew and loved him with a treasure trove of happy memories. Olaitan was born on December 16th, 1979 to Mrs. Owokemi Shonowo-Saaka, JP and Mr. Soji Abidoye in Washington, D.C. After Olaitan graduated from High Point High School in 1996, he went on to study liberal arts - politics at Dickinson College and international studies in Prague, Czech Republic. He worked with one of the nation’s first startups using linguistics to catalog video content (StreamSage, Inc: acquired by Comcast) after his undergraduate studies. His curious mind then took him to Stetson University College of Law where he obtained his J.D. After law school, Olaitan started his career as a corporate lawyer in New York City. His love of travel and fairness helped usher his move to a senior position in financial crimes advisory law at Barclays in London, UK, where he took the time to also complete executive education studies at Cambridge University. Olaitan is survived by his mother, father, brother and sisters as well as several loving aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces. Olaitan will be laid to rest at Grand Prairie Memorial Garden on April 29th, 2022.
