    Marquel Jamar Vincent

    September 12, 2001 - January 7, 2020

Marquel Jamar Vincent was born September 12, 2001 in Irving, Texas to Mr. Kerry L. Vincent and Mrs. Retina S. Vincent. He attended Lively Elementary School from 2007 to 2012, deZavala Middle School from 2012 to 2015, Irving High School from 2015 to 2017, and Dubiski Career High School from 2017 to 2020. He excelled in school at all levels as well as earned numerous awards and recognitions in school. He actively participated in Kickstart Kids Martial Arts (Chuck Norris program) where he earned his First Degree Blackbelt. He also participated in UIL for Geography, Decathlon Emerging Leaders & Entrepreneurs, and was recognized by Duke University TiP(Talent Identification Program). He volunteered at the Irving Public Library for several years and was an extraordinary gentleman. He took pleasure in his gift of creative writing and drawing. He enjoyed skateboarding, practicing martial arts, playing the bass guitar, and learning about the Japanese culture and language. Although he was soft spoken, Marquel’s words were powerful. He dreamed big and aimed high. Furthermore, he had a low tolerance for ordinary. The 18 years of his life on Earth can’t be summed up in a few words. It can be explained best by the many memories he made with all in whose path God allowed him to cross. Marquel departed this life on Tuesday, January 7, 2020. He is survived by his father, Kerry LeVan Vincent, his mother, Retina Shonta Vincent, his brother, Kevan J. Vincent and his sister, Kierra K. Vincent.
