LouCinda Stevenson Parker
August 22, 1943 - January 10, 2021
LouCinda (Cindy Stevenson) Parker departed this life on Sunday, 10 January 2021. She was in her home with her family and passed quietly in her sleep nearly four years after a stroke and various vascular issues left her disabled. She is survived by her family, husband Philip, daughter Kimberly and son Brian plus grandkids Cheryl, Sam, Brian, and Kristen. Cindy’s ashes will be interred in DFW National Cemetery to be joined by her husband’s sometime in the future. The interment ceremony on 27 January is for family only. The date has not been set for Cindy’s memorial banquet, but it will be after Cindy’s friends have had a chance to receive Covid vaccinations. Cindy was born and raised in a small town in the Catskill Mountains, Hancock, NY. Her horizons broadened as an Air Force wife moving about the country where she was a folk-art business owner, a jewelry salesperson, and a volunteer chef. Among her other accomplishments, Cindy will be remembered for her cooking skills, her artsy talents, and for being a great friend and Mom. The family requests that you write about a memorable experience you shared with Cindy for use in preparing memorial booklets for “Mimi’s” grandkids. Thank you one and all for the positive impact you have had on Cindy’s life and for the fond memories we share.
