April 6, 1932 - October 1, 2020
Jacqueline Blanche Pickard went home to Jesus on 1 October 2020 at age 88. Jacqueline was born to Edmond Madre and Lucienne Diwo Madre on 6 April 1932 in Paris, France. Jacqueline lived in Paris, France from 1932 to 1939 and later in Orleans, France from 1939 to 1958. Those years included the World War II invasion and occupancy of France by the Nazi German Military. Her and her family, and many others had to learn to live and survive this occupation. After the war with better days to come; Jacqueline worked as a Telephone Operator and later met Earl William Pickard; an American soldier whom was stationed nearby Orleans, France. They fell in love and were married on 4 June 1958. They later moved to the United States of America in September 1959. During their marriage they lived in Illinois, Missouri and Texas. Jacqueline worked as a Nurse and had six children. She lost her husband Earl Pickard in 1973 due to an occupational accident as a machine operator. Left alone with children she devoted her life to continuing her work as a nurse while still providing and raising the three younger children. Jacqueline worked and studied to become a Naturalize American citizen. On 22 July 1993 she officially accomplished that goal and became an American citizen. Jacqueline was a mother of Six (6) Children, Sixteen (16) Grand Children, Thirty Five (35) Great Grand Children, and Nine (9) Great, Great, Grand Children. (This is to our best estimate). Jacqueline is survived by her twe sisters Gisele Naud and Denise Babef, and her brother Michel Madre. Jacqueline is missed and will always be remembered by her co workers, patients and their families for her years of service. Now we her Family will miss her too. Today we say Good bye to Madam Jacqueline Pickard; Good Bye Jacqueline; Good Bye Jackie; Good bye Nana; Good bye Grandma; Good bye Momma .. .. God saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be. So He wrapped his arms around you, and whispered, "Come to me". You didn't deserve what you went through, So He gave you rest. God's garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best And when I saw you sleeping, So peaceful and free from pain I could not wish you back To suffer that again.
