Charles Hunter Jones Sr.

September 17, 1949 - February 10, 2022

Charles Hunter Jones Sr. was born September 17, 1949 in Longview, Texas to Dolores H. Simms and Harold Jones. Charles attended school in Longview, Texas, graduating from Mary C. Womack High School. He continued his education at Bishop College, Dallas, Texas majoring in accounting. He was also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. Charles was taught by his mother and grandparents to respect God first and do his best to assist others. His focus was strictly business and always willing to share his knowledge of finance and tax related issues with others. Charles served as Business Manager of Highland Hills United Methodist Church, Dallas, Texas, and an Accountant at The Village United Methodist Church, DeSoto, Texas. He leaves to cherish the love and memory to of his life, his wife Annetta to whom were married for forty-three years, son, Charles Hunter Jones II (Shelgwen), and daughter, Alicia Michelle Jones, his aunts, Dorothy Griffin, who resides in San Antonio, Texas, Lauretta Ellison, who resides in DeSoto, Texas and an uncle, Julian Hunter who resides in Seattle, Washington. His memory will also b cherished by a host of cousins and friends.
