Louise A. Newberry, 67, was received into the hands of God, Friday, June 1, 2012 while in a Fort Worth Hospital.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11am Monday, June 4, 2012 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 500 E Dallas St. Mansfield, TX.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Louise's name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Louise was born June 17, 1944 in Charleroi, Pennsylvania. She moved to Mansfield from Moreno Valley California in 1998. She was a parishioner of St. Jude Catholic Church and enjoyed sewing, gardening, shopping, arts and crafts and had a talent for restoring salvaged furniture into artwork. Relationships and family were important to Louise. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and had a special place in her heart for her good friend, Marlene O'Dea, whom she met over 35 years ago while taking a ceramics class. She was quick witted, had a great sense of humor and loved animals, especially her black lab, Tilly. Louise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister and friend who will be deeply missed and always loved by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her step-father, Cliff Pickens and her companions, Blackie, her Lab Shepard, and WeeWee, her French Poodle.
Survivors: loving husband of 50 years, Richard Wayne Newberry of Mansfield; sons, Paris Gracen Newberry of Honolulu, HI and Carl Carter Newberry, II of Canyon Lake, California; daughters, Coral Lee Masuda and her husband Hiroshi of Denton, TX, Danza Marie Johnsrud and her husband Troy of Ashby, MN and Persephone Ann England and her husband William of Elbow Lake, MN; mother, Genevieve T. Mauser of Mansfield; brother, Edward Mauser of Spokane, WA; sister, Patricia Pennza and her husband Joe and son Patrick of Middlefield, OH; grandchildren, Kayla, Malia, Maya, Richard, Maximillian, Lily, Alexi, Genevieve, Christopher, Gregory, Benjamin, Jonathan, Jenna, Daeli, Matthew, Niles, Parker, and McKenna; great grandchild, Hayden.
